Serving Our Community While Keeping Our Water Clean & Safe
As a community we are in a unique position to make substantial lasting changes for the betterment of our community as well as the natural environment. By improving our municipal infrastructure, this project will position Woodstock to remain strong within the current economic climate while addressing the Town’s long-term vitality over the next 30-50 years.

Residents & Businesses
The existing Main Wastewater Treatment Facility serves roughly 750 residential homes and businesses throughout the community and contributes greatly to the vibrant downtown village that sustains our larger community.

Health & Safety
Located on Maxham Meadow Way off of Route 4, the wastewater treatment facility is dedicated to maintaining the health and safety of our community and the beautiful Ottauquechee River.

Track Project Progress
You can track project progress on this webpage, by following the Town’s Facebook page, as well as by attending the upcoming public facility tour the week of November 15rd, 2025.

Town Vote
Community members will have the opportunity to vote on the progression of this critical project at the March 3, 2026 bond vote.

The need and opportunity before us are clear
With the influx of infrastructure funding as part of The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Congressional Discretionary Funding from US Senator Welch, a low-interest loan from the State of Vermont Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan Program, our community has a chance to replace major components of this 60-year-old wastewater facility with current technology, reduced chemical consumption and increased energy efficiency. The project will introduce an advanced biological treatment process that will lower operational costs while meeting a more stringent National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit. This comprehensive project will build a facility that serves Woodstock’s needs long into the future.
